Scott Zimmer
Chief Executive Officer

Scott is a seasoned leader and has held numerous executive level positions throughout his career, including CEO, President, CFO in a variety of industries, most recently in consumer financial services.  Scott began his career in public accounting at E&Y where he served in the audit division before transitioning into the private sector. Most recently he served as SVP, Consumer Lending at Renovate America, Inc. (“RA”) and CEO of its wholly-owned lending subsidiary, Personal Energy Finance, Inc. At RA, he oversaw the development, launch and ongoing management of the company’s unsecured home improvement finance business with originations totaling more than $500 million.

While at RA, Scott was instrumental in negotiating a $100 million credit facility with a major Wall Street bank as well as partnering with a regional bank and credit union, respectively, on forward flow loan asset sale agreements. In addition, Scott oversaw the establishment of the credit, risk and outsourced servicing functions, including successful completion of a SOC 1 Type II audit. Graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics-Business from UCLA and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the state of California.

Tom Lemke
Chief Technology Officer

Tom is a versatile technology professional with 13+ years of experience across product management, system integration, project execution and client management. He is passionate about developing top-flight end user experiences, digging into the details, and setting up the required people, processes, and technologies for sustainable success. Tom began his career at Accenture, participating in and later leading client implementations within the Systems Integration and Technology Division. He most recently served as Vice President, Product and Technology at Renovate America, Inc., leading a team to deliver key product differentiators. Tom graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jim Wojton
VP, Credit Operations

Jim is an accomplished senior level financial professional and a proven leader adept at overseeing large-scale projects and daily operations that enhance lending and servicing operations, mitigate business and financial risk, secure compliance with applicable regulations, and optimize internal processes. Jim has worked his entire 30+ years in the financial services sector, including with organizations such as Morgan Stanley, Discover Financial Services and Kinecta Federal Credit Union.

Prior to joining Fundient Capital LLC, Mr. Wojton served as Senior Director, Operations with Solar Mosaic, Inc., a state-of-the-art solar loan provider, where he orchestrated the successful transition of a headquarters-based operation to a branch location resulting in reduced costs and a superior consumer experience. In addition, he engaged with external vendors, warehouse lenders, and state regulators during audits, annual reviews and due diligence.  Prior to Solar Mosaic, Jim served as Director of Credit Operations with Renovate America, Inc. where he oversaw all lending and servicing aspects of a nationwide fintech organization for both unsecured consumer and Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) home improvement financings. B.S. in Finance from DePaul University.

Stephen Pool
Director, Customer Experience

Stephen Pool has over 13 years’ experience designing, implementing, and managing tools, processes and applications used by financial services companies.  Stephen was formerly the Vice President of Merchant Services at FinMkt, an omni-channel multi-lender point of sale financing platform, where he managed the technical integration of multiple point-of-sale home improvement lenders into a single, waterfall application.  Stephen was also the Senior Director of Compliance and Risk at Renovate America, where he implemented their compliance management program and contractor underwriting, onboarding, and monitoring tools. Stephen also managed the initial launch of Renovate America’s unsecured consumer loan product (i.e., Benji).

Prior to Renovate America, he worked at CoreLogic where he supported the technical integration credit reporting data between CoreLogic and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, implemented the CFPB’s requirements for Large Credit Reporting Agencies, and managed the CoreLogic’s first CFPB regulatory examination.  Stephen spent 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, graduated from National University with a BS in Finance and a minor and Information Technology Management.

Matthew Holden
Matthew is an accomplished finance professional with 20+ years of experience creating and developing accounting teams and systems. Prior to joining Fundient, Mr. Holden formed and managed Holden Consulting, an outsourced accounting firm assisting companies of all sizes with various business needs. Their services included everything from accounting clerk duties (processing payables/receivables/payroll) to CFO responsibilities (selecting/implementing accounting systems, software, and employee benefits). Prior to founding Holden Consulting Group, Matthew served as Controller at Alteryx, an internet software developer, helping to grow it into a $28M company with 200 employees in the US, Canada, and Europe. Prior to Alteryx, Matthew held the role of Director of Operations for FMT Consultants, a Microsoft Business Solutions partner. In this role he oversaw the accounting, sales, marketing, and admin teams. He spent 8 years helping build FMT into one of the most award-winning Microsoft VARs. Matthew graduated with a B.S. in Management Sciences from the University of California, San Diego.
Jeff Wydra
Business Operations Analyst

 Jeff has 10 years’ experience in consumer credit, servicing, and third-party risk management, specializing in management of third-party merchants offering financing at point-of-sale. Formally, Jeff worked at FinMkt where he onboarded and managed the risk of their third-party merchants in the home improvement, e-commerce and medical industries. Prior to FinMkt, he worked at Personal Energy Finance where he was a Contractor Risk Analyst. He conducted due diligence on thousands of commercial and residential contractors and third-party vendors, and supported the design of third-party risk management framework which employed advanced analytics to predict contractor performance, and ensure financial solvency prior to offering financing to homeowners. Furthermore, Jeff worked for CoreLogic Credco where he conducted quality control reviews on thousands of consumer report disclosures and dispute output bundles to assure accuracy and completeness in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
