You can either pay monthly by check or via Auto Pay (both one-time and recurring) via the CONNECT consumer portal.

Yes, as a customer you will receive a monthly statement.

No. Co-applicants are not available as an option at this time. We do allow you to use household income.

Similar to auto leases, there is no stated interest rate. The effective interest rate and/or finance charge is fixed for the term of your lease agreement.  Rates will vary based on market conditions available at the time of application but are generally consistent with those available on similar home improvement loans with a 10-year duration.

Once you finish your lease term, you will have 4 options:

  • Lease a brand-new system and have your old equipment removed. See your contractor for options.
  • Purchase the equipment and own the system. At the end of the lease, there would be a residual amount due (typically 20% of the installed equipment cost). This amount will be provided in your lease agreement.
  • Extend your lease for another 1 or 2 years. If you decide to extend your lease for 1 or 2 years you will still have the option of purchasing the equipment at the end of the lease extension (or anytime during). Please note, however, that the warranty will no longer be available during the lease extension ; however, maintenance will still be performed annually by your contractor.
  • You can ”walk away”! There is no obligation for you to make any more payments once your lease term is completed and all outstanding balances associated with the lease have been paid. Simply tell us you do not want it anymore, and Fundient Capital reserves the right to have the equipment returned/removed from your property.

It is. There are 3 options:

  1. The potential buyer may ask you to just pay it off.
  2. The new buyer can take over the lease. They would apply with Fundient and they make it easy to transition the lease to new homeowner.
  3. The seller can just keep paying the lease. Similar to a loan, the original lease owner is still liable to make any remaining payments if they don’t exercise their Early Termination option nor have the new homeowner assume the lease.

There is no prepayment penalty on the lease if the you elects to take advantage of your Early Termination option. You would be required to pay the remaining balance on the lease, very similar to the remaining principal on a loan if you were pay off early.

Fundient Capital, or it’s delegate, is responsible for calculating, invoicing, collecting, and remitting the tax per the requirements in your state. Each state has slightly different laws on how this is done, but this is not the contractor’s responsibility.

The initial payment date provided is based on the date of your lease agreement and may be updated to a later date depending on the date of equipment installation. Customers can subsequently request a payment date change, subject to approval by Fundient Capital, by contacting our customer service team at 1-800-435-3705.

All Ultimate Home Comfort™ warranties are issued and backed by Johnson Controls, Inc. (“JCI”) and customers should refer to their Comfort Plan contract provided by JCI post-installation/funding for details of the warranty benefits.
